Confirm receipt, leaving arrangements, final pay and return of organisation property.

Before you send

Complete every bracketed field, choose applicable options and remove unused text. Remove the guidance page from the recipient’s copy. Keep the source acknowledgement when sharing the template.

  1. Check the resignation, notice, employment end date and final working day. Resolve uncertainty or a disputed resignation before issuing confirmation.
  2. Confirm pay and holiday calculations with payroll. Do not assume that a deduction is permitted because it is written in this letter.
  3. Agree any payment in lieu, garden leave or other special arrangement separately and check the contract and current guidance.
